![]() Hi sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your AccountEdge Pro.ġ) When you open a company file with AccountEdge the program will create a series of lock or access files. These are used by the program to track your user information while in the company file. What can happen is if you don't close out of the program correctly those lock or access files remain, therefore when you next go to login they see that you are already logged in and prevent you from logging in again. I would recommend that you go to AccountEdge>Close AccountEdge rather than selecting the red cross to close down AccountEdge. This will make sure that AccountEdge has the appropriate amount of time close down.Ģ) This may be linked to the lock file situation as mentioned above. Some programs in particular anti virus and third party backup programs can scan data in real time. So I would encourage you to temporarily disable those third party programs before attempting to complete the backup.įor more information into lock and access files please see AccountEdge Support Note: Error: " No more than 10 data files." when opening a company fileģ) There are generally a few reasons why you are unable to see the customise form When AccountEdge goes to take a backup it sees that lock files are in use and therefore generates an error. The customise form is located as a different type than what you are looking for i.e.the form is a service invoice based form but you are looking under item invoice to find that form. In this case go to Setup>Customise Forms and go through the options to make sure that form is not a different layout to the one you think. The customise form contains odd characters *, &, ^, %.The form is not saved in the correct location - Open the company file>Accounts>Company Data Auditor>Customise Form, etc. ![]() ![]() will have the file path and a option to select that path to so you can make sure the form is saved in the correct location. The form is a customise form transferred across from a PC based system. In general I would also recommend you check out my post on Unable to backup, email and confirmation errors in particular the section back up of file.
